I offer custom watercolor Pet Portraits from your photos. Expressive yet realistic, hand-painted artwork created in the Netherlands.

My paintings are especially popular for memorials of lost precious animal companions, birthday surprises of your furry friends, special gifts for pet owners among friends and family.

Step 1: Get started by reaching out through the contact form and let me know some basic information, for example you wish to order a portrait of your dog or cat. You prefer an A4 or A3 format. I will get back to you as soon as I see it.

Step 2: Via email please send me some clear close up photos of your beloved pet. I will make a design and pencil sketch based on your photos. I will send you the sketch for approval.

Step 3: I will start painting once the pencil sketch design is approved. I will send you a photo of the finished painting for approval once it’s ready.

Step 4: Once the photo of the painting is approved, please pay the full amount + Shipping cost. Then the painting will be packed nicely and sent to you immediately.

Please be noted that because of my artistic style of choice, I usually only paint one pet on each painting. This allows me to focus on more vivid details, and show case the unique personalities of your each pet.

Over the years of sharing my life with all sorts of pets from cats and dogs to rabbits, birds, turtles and gold fish, I have a deep bond with nature and animals in general. Observing them and loving them is in my DNA.

Through more than 6 years of daily art practice I’ve developed an unique artistic style which is nowhere else to be found. You can see tons of examples of my artwork from the "My Gallery”. For each piece of portrait I put in my best intension, my positive energy and my professional craftsmanship.

Some artists capture how a pet looks like in a hyper realistic style. But I focus more on who they really are, and how they make you feel. Emotional connection is my ultimate goal in my artworks.

Here I have several tips on how to take good reference photos of your pets:

1. Take the photos on eye level with your pet.

2. Near a window with natural light. Morning light or evening light from the windows are especially beautiful.

3. The reflections in the eyes are really pretty and vivid in a painting.

4. Composition wise, focus on head and chest for a beautiful portrait.

5. Pure white or black animals are a bit tricky. If the photos can show facial features clearly it’ll be very helpful.

At the moment I offer two sizes:

A4 for €80, and A3 for €150. Shipping costs €10 within Europe and €20 outside Europe.

Leadtime is usually 3-4 weeks. Please let me know if it’s an urgent project. I might be able to deliver faster with an extra fee.
